I have been busy guys!!! In the past couple months I have done a ton! Let's see:
GOT A JOB!!
Said goodbye to my husband for a little bit :(
Visited Memphis 2x
Saw one of my BF's get married
etc., etc.
Despite the very short homecoming (2.5 weeks) Matt had to leave us yet again. Preparing for him to leave was no small task. I began getting his things together almost a month in advance. He was gone for 6 weeks before he left so it left a lot of the prep up to me. I am happy to say that he has everything he needs for a long, long trip. His main request was pictures of me and Scout and lots and lots of candy... such a kid. Due to tight quarters (reallllllly small space) we had to be very organized. We got push lights, velcro, netting and baskets to ensure that everything had a place.

I was also busy making sure he had plenty of links to home while he was away. So I decided that I would pre-write him love letters for every couple weeks and holidays/special occasions. In the end, I had about 26 letters. I used some cute stationary, greeting cards, and just random cards that I have had in my craft stuff. I punched a hole through all the matching envelopes and ran some ribbon to keep them all together. I added the number of the day and the date to open. He loves them and has already had to open a few. I had a great time making them and with him gone 3 out of 4 of our first months together I was able to tap in emotionally even though some cards were written to be open 5 months out.

Look at those EARS! |
I also started to garden. I have a patio that is pretty big for an apartment. It is longer than wide but it gives me plenty of room for container gardening. The previous tenant added lots of hooks so I didn't have much to do except add plants!
Orange Mint, Poppies, Rosemary, Cilantro, Dill and Basil. |
JalapeƱo, Sunflowers, Watermelon, Peppermint and Sage. |
3 feet of Wildflowers! |
Okay, that's all for now. This is just a little of what I've been up to! I'll start keeping up with the blog more since I have some readers all the way in Oxford :). xoxo
